Saturday of the 4th week in Lent

May the working of Your mercy, O Lord, we pray, direct our hearts aright, for without your grace we cannot find favor in Your sight. Grant this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.

Daily Thought from the Saints

"If angels could be jealous of men, they would be so for one reason: Holy Communion."

— St. Maximilian Kolbe

Daily Scripture Verse

"Hear my prayer, O Lord; let my cry come to thee! Do not hide thy face from me in the day of my distress! Incline thy ear to me; answer me speedily in the day when I call!"

Psalm 102:1-2

Daily Meditation

"When will the happy time come when the divine Mary will be established Mistress and Queen of all hearts, in order that she may subject them fully to the empire of her great and holy Jesus? When will souls breathe Mary as the body breathes air? When that time comes, wonderful things will happen in those lowly places where the Holy Ghost, finding His dear spouse, as it were, reproduced, in all souls, shall come in with abundance, and fill them to overflowing with His gifts, and particularly with the gift of wisdom, to work miracles of grace."

— St. Louis de Montfort

Day by Day with Mary, the Mother of God

O my Mother, you who have always burned with love for God, deign to give me at least a spark of it.

— St. Alphonsus Ligouri

A Prayer from Notre Dame University

Rev. Steve Newton, C.S.C.

As we look for you, Christ Jesus, help us to put aside our preconceptions of who we would have you be and see you as you are and where you are. Help us to see the prophets among us and to have the wisdom to discern false prophets. May your words and teachings be the baseline of our faith. We ask this in your name, Christ the teacher. Amen.
