Monday of Easter Week
O God, who give constant increase to your Church by new offspring, grant that Your servants may hold fast in their lives to the Sacrament they have received in faith. Grant this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
Daily Thought from the Saints
"Lord, help me to make time today to serve you in those who are most in need of encouragement or assistance."
— St. Vincent de Paul
Daily Scripture Verse
"What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna."
Matthew 10:27-28
Daily Meditation
"Fear of the Lord does not mean to be afraid of God. St. John tells us that where there is love, there is no fear. Rather, fear of the Lord is to stand in awe and wonder before the greatness of the Lord. It is to recognize that God is the creator and we are the creatures. Fear of the Lord should lead us to praise and worship."
— Rev. Jude Winkler, OFM
Day by Day with Mary, the Mother of God
In all temptations of pride, there is no greater remedy than this one: to have recourse to the humble Jesus and Mary.
—St. Alphonsus Rodriguez
A Prayer from Notre Dame University
Rev. Chase Pepper, C.S.C.
Father, thank you for the Easter joy with which you have blessed us. Drive this joy ever-deeper in our hearts, that our fears may dissolve and that we may find strength to give witness to our encounters with the risen Christ. Amen.
