St. Plautilla was a Roman widow, reputedly the mother of St. Flavia Domitilla and the wife of Emperor Vespasian, who was exiled by Emperor Domitian for being a Christian.  Plautilla was by some accounts baptized by Saint Peter and saw the martyrdom of Saint Paul.  Her daughter and brother and daughter were both martyred.
