Daily Thought from the Saints
"Nothing great is ever achieved without much enduring."
— St. Catherine of Siena
Daily Scripture Verse
"For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and preserving the way of his saints."
Proverbs 2:6-8
Daily Meditation
"If you love God, lust has no place in your heart. Saint Augustine teaches that the sin of lust is like an iron chain that binds you fast, enslaving your will to perversity. When lust gains entry to your heart, it quickly takes root as a habit. If you don’t resist and uproot it, that habit inevitably becomes necessary."
— Patrick Madrid
Daily Catholic Wisdom
We preach and proclaim the Virgin Mary first of all because she simply deserves it. We do not remain silent about truths. And the more glorious a truth, the more we proclaim it.

A Prayer from Notre Dame University
Rev. Michael Belinsky, C.S.C.
Jesus proclaims, "I am the way and the truth and the life." Lord, this Easter mystery emboldened your apostles to preach the power of your resurrection from the dead, even to suffer martyrdom for the sake of your name. Though few if any of us will be asked to die a martyr's death, help us to share the glory of your cross in how we live for others today, for it is our only hope and the way of our life. Amen!

Reading
I am reminding you, brothers and sisters, of the gospel I preached to you, which you indeed received and in which you also stand. Through it you are also being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.
Meditation
Faith is not a vague feeling or sentiment, but a holding fast to the gospel that has been proclaimed to us, the gospel of Jesus’ death and resurrection. And through this holding fast to the gospel we are being saved, for by believing we are made receptive to the Spirit and His graces. Yet we believe in vain if the truth of the gospel and these graces of the Spirit do not change us. It should be that we are being daily transformed by the gospel.
Prayer
Lord, increase my faith, so that the truth of the gospel is more firmly planted in my mind, and so that my attitudes and behaviors are more fully transformed according to the pattern of Your Son. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
