As a lay-brother, Sanctes focused his efforts on manual labor, providing support and assistance to his fellow friars and the local community. He was renowned for his skill in gardening and took care of the monastery's vegetable garden, ensuring a steady supply of food for the brothers and those in need.

Sanctes possessed a gentle and compassionate nature, always ready to lend an ear to those in distress and offer words of comfort and guidance.
