Daily Thought from The Saints
“Holiness consists simply in doing God’s will, and being just what God wants us to be.”
— St. Therese Of Lisieux
Daily Scripture Verse
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he Will act. He Will bring forth your vindication as the light, and your right as the noonday. Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him, fret not yourself over him who prospers in his way, over the one who carries out evil devices!”
Psalm 37:5-7
Daily Meditation
“Through the sacraments of Christian initiation, man receives the new life of Christ. Now we carry this life ‘in earthen vessels,’ and it remains ‘hidden with Christ in God.’ We are still in our earthly tent, subject to suffering, illness, and death. This new life as a child of God can be weakened and even lost by sin. The Lord Jesus Christ, physician of our souls and bodies, who forgave the sins of the paralytic and restored him to bodily health, has willed that his Church continue, in the power of the Holy Spirit, his work of healing and salvation, this is the purpose of the two sacraments of healing: the Sacrament of penance and the sacrament of anointing of the sick.”
— The Catechism of the Catholic Church
Daily Catholic Wisdom
If we manage to be with God in silence, we possess what is essential. Man does not live by bread alone, but by a word that comes from the mouth of God. The materialistic civilization that now prevails in the West favors nothing but immediate profit, economic success, and pointless leisure activities. In this domain of King Money, who could ever be interested in God’s silence?

A Prayer from Notre Dame University
Rev. Matt Fase, C.S.C.
God, Father of all people, you sent your Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, may we recognize the unity of all the baptized. Do not allow us to be distracted by the superficial distinctions drawn by the world. May we instead hear you call us all your mother and brothers and sisters. We are one in your Body. Help us to live as one. Amen.

Psalm 118:22-24
Reading
The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
By the LORD has this been done; it is wonderful in our eyes.
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice in it and be glad.
Meditation
The Lord has made this day, that is, this present reality, in which Jesus, once rejected by sinful humanity, has become the cornerstone of humanity's salvation. This present reality has been made through the resurrection, which is irreversible. Its permanence makes our hope sure, and takes away worries that would hinder our rejoicing in what the Lord has done.
Prayer
Almighty God, keep my sights firmly fixed on what You have done, for in the face of human opposition, You have established Your saving will firmly in the heavens by lifting Your Son’s humanity to the right hand of Your majesty. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
