Solemnity of St. Francis of Assisi
Father, you helped our seraphic Father Francis reflect to the image of Christ through a life of poverty and humility. May we follow your Son by walking in the footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi and by imitating his joyful love. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
Daily Thought from the Saints
"You change your life by changing your heart."
— St. Benedict of Nursia
Daily Scripture Verse
"He said to them, "Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.""
Mark 16:15-16
Daily Meditation
"Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on: you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently he starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of – throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were going to be made into a decent little cottage but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself."
— C. S. Lewis
Day by day with Mary, Mother of God Daily Catholic Wisdom
Holy Virgin Mary, there is none like you among women born in the world. Daughter and handmaid of the heavenly Father, the Almighty King, mother of our most holy Lord Jesus Christ, and the spouse of the Holy Spirit, pray for us to your most holy Son, our Lord and Master.

A Prayer from Notre Dame University
Rev. Kajubi Henry Senteza, C.S.C.
O God, your will reveals your love for us. May Christ’s triumph over evil, sin, and death light the fire of your love deep within us. As we contemplate your protecting care, help us not submit to the lures of the evil one. Grant us the competence to see and the courage to act in your name when we face temptation. Attentive to your voice, may we heed the Spirit, who lives and reigns with you forever and ever. Amen.
