Feast of St. Mary Magdalene
O God, whose Only Begotten Son entrusted Mary Magdalene before all others with announcing the great joy of the Resurrection, grant, we pray, that, through her intercession and example, we may proclaim the living Christ and come to see him reigning in your glory. Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever.
Daily Thought from the Saints
"Let us thank God for having called us to His holy faith. It is a great gift, and the number of those who thank God for it is small."
— St. Alphonsus Liguori
Daily Scripture Verse
"Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for [someone] to devour. Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that your fellow believers throughout the world undergo the same sufferings. The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory through Christ [Jesus] will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little. To him be dominion forever. Amen."
1 Peter 5:8-11
Daily Meditation
"God loves everyone with unique love; he wants to lead them all to perfection, but at the same time has very different paths for different people. This means that the frequency and characteristics of the inspirations of grace will differ from one person to another. We cannot force the Spirit, God is the master of his gifts. That said, it cannot be doubted that God will grant each person at least the inspirations he needs for his own sanctification."
— Fr. Jacques Philippe
Daily Catholic Wisdom
As a rich brother takes on himself the debt of his bankrupt brother, so Our Lord takes upon Himself all the discords, disharmonies, all the sins, guilts, and blasphemies of man, as if He Himself were guilty. As gold is thrust into the furnace to have its dross burned away, so He takes His human nature and plunges it into the fires of Calvary to have our sins burned away.

A Prayer from Notre Dame University
Rev. Bob Loughery, C.S.C.
God of life, may we be your light in a world of darkness. Like Mary Magdalene, who was healed of her demons, send us your grace. Help us to carry the good news of your love to those who live in tombs of pain and sorrow and suffering. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
